A beautifully restored 5x7 inch Gundlach Manhattan Wizard View field camera (manufactured between 1902-1926) that can be shot full frame or easily modified for a stereoview.
The body of the camera has been cleaned and polished, with the previous 100 years of use left in the wood to tell the story of its history. The best bellows manufacturer in the world – Custom Bellows in the UK – has provided the replacement. With proper care and feeding, this beautiful camera is ready for the next 100 years of storytelling.
Also included are:
- Two lens boards measuring 12.9 x 8.7 cm, an original that came with the camera as well as a new mahogany board.
- A dry plate holder that came with the camera, along with two reduction inserts to hold 3¾ x 5½ inch dry plates. These have not been cleaned in any way as a collector would want them complete with the original chalk marking.
- A 5x7 wet collodion holder, 3D printed by Periphere. Designed to fit a full 5×7 tin or glass plate, it has been custom tailored to the spring back of this camera.
